More than a school. A formation system for life.
The Filipino Institute began as a school. But it didn’t stay there.
Born from collapse, rebuilt through clarity, and reborn through calling—FI is now a full-circle formation system for lifelong learning, servant leadership, and future nation-building. This is more than an institution. It’s a movement. A mission. A mirror for anyone who’s been broken and still chooses to rise.
Founders Gabriel & Camille Joy Rimando
Behind the movement are two voices: one refined by fire, the other sustained by faith.
Gabriel John Rimando and Camille Joy Rimando are the co-founders of the Filipino Institute and the authors of its rebirth. What began as a humble school for OFWs grew into a multi-nation education platform. But in 2024, everything collapsed—financially, emotionally, structurally. Instead of walking away, they chose to fast, heal, and rebuild.
Today, Gabriel leads with clarity forged through failure, while Camille anchors the formation with compassion, reflection, and quiet leadership. Together, their journey birthed the FI Circle—a sacred, scalable system that forms leaders, not just students.
Story Built in the Fire. Rebuilt for Legacy.
The Filipino Institute started in 2015 with a simple goal: provide accessible education to Filipinos abroad. For years, the movement grew—across cities, courses, and communities. But in 2024, the weight of expansion without rest led to a full collapse.
It was in the silence of that season that something new emerged: the understanding that education must not only inform—it must transform. FI was reborn not as a business, but as a mission. We no longer build for applause. We build for peace, purpose, and future-proof formation.
Mission From Students to Servant-Leaders
We exist to form thinkers, builders, and servant-leaders across every life stage.
Our mission is to:
• Provide education that restores clarity, purpose, and skill
• Create a lifelong formation system rooted in faith and service
• Form global Filipinos to become nation-builders at home and abroad
• Bridge story, healing, and legacy through sacred systems
FI is not just about what you learn—but about who you become.
Impact What We’ve Built, and What’s Still Rising
In numbers:
• 300,000+ learners across 7 countries
• 100+ trainers equipped and empowered
• 100+ programs in education, leadership, and formation
• 1 global Circle: united by story, scattered across nations
In story:
FI’s greatest impact cannot be measured in enrollment or reach—but in resilience. Every graduate who returns to serve, every fellow who teaches the next, every family who found healing here—that is our real legacy.
Identity The Fire That Forged the Circle
Our identity is shaped by the 4F Formation System:
• Fire – Collapse and inner clarity (Gabriel’s story)
• Faith – Quiet endurance and restoration (Camille’s voice)
• Flame – Their tested union as founders and partners
• Forever – The Circle that now includes us all
Our voice is sacred, our design is intentional, and our future is rooted in Filipino character and formation. We speak from the fire—not just about it.
